Objectives

We aim to bring architecture and design out of the boardrooms and studios to those who experience it first hand. We want to promote a better understanding of architecture across the community but we know this is best done with friends. That’s why we aim to work with partners and reach out to new networks who share our passion for architecture as a field that shapes the world around us.

As well as presenting the Festival each year, the NSW Architects Registration Board also promotes an understanding of architecture in the community by funding research, hosting talks and forums and partnering with organisations on projects relevant to increasing the public's understanding of architectural issues.

The Board's key role is to protect consumers of architectural services by ensuring that architects provide services to the public in a professional and competent manner, accrediting architectural qualifications and providing information to government.
