Selina Short

Selina is the managing partner for EY’s Oceania Real Estate and Construction practice and part of EY's Oceania Executive Leadership Team with managerial responsibility for the Resources, Energy, Industrial Products and Real Estate portfolio. She is also part of EY’s Global Real Estate and Construction Leadership Team with responsibility for innovation and leads EY’s knowledge alliance with Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Centre for Real Estate.

Her focus and passion is on understanding the interplay between space and technological, societal and geopolitical influences that have the power to shape and be shaped. This focus has driven her involvement with the Property Council and the Green Building Council of Australia’s research on megatrends in the real estate and construction sector. She is leading EY’s global Intelligent Building working group with oversite for solution development and alliances.

Selina is a vocal champion on the vital importance of cities and the need for collaboration to ensure they are liveable, sustainable human hubs of economic and community prosperity for future generations. She is part of the Property Council of Australia’s National Cities Committee and EY’s Future Cities team.

She is also an advocate for the better commercial outcomes that are delivered through diversity of thought, is a strategic adviser to the Property Male Champions of Change and has led a number of key research projects for the PMCC group.

Her career has spanned numerous countries and sectors, including real estate, pharmaceuticals and consumer products, and she has worked in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Prior to joining EY, Selina worked in London at a FTSE listed global real estate adviser firm where she was responsible for global capital markets investor strategy.
